Support Liverpool Central Citizens Advice Bureau

We have moved from our old address in Dale street to our new premises at 1 Union Court, Cook Street, Liverpool, L2 4SJ.

Liverpool Central CAB offers free services providing general advice and information across a wide subject area. Amongst our many services we offer help with: Debt, housing, benefit entitlements, consumer, and employment issues. Last year alone, we recorded benefit gains on behalf of our clients of approximately £500,000 and we dealt with over £10 million worth of debt.

The need for a free, confidential and impartial service we provide is on the increase – Liverpool Central CAB is very busy office dealing with approximately 35,000 enquiries each year. A further 5,000 plus enquiries are dealt with at the bureau within the County Court.

Liverpool is an area of intense multi-dimensional and persistent deprivation. As our services are free, many who would have found themselves excluded from much needed professional legal advice have found help at Liverpool Central Citizen’s Advice Bureau

1) We represented 2,331 clients in court in relation to general debt and housing possession and eviction hearings

2) In the last five years alone we have seen an increase in client enquiries of over 50%

The move will enable us to expand and improve our free, impartial, independent advice. However, this much needed move will see us with a financial deficit of £85,000. We hope to expand our services to the people of Liverpool, but without any additional financial assistance from our funders, we have found ourselves in the position of having to raise funds in our own right and are seeking sponsors and donations.

Liverpool Central CAB wishes to thank each of the organisations and individuals who sponsored us on 18th September balloon release and contributed to the fundraising for our new premises:
